Post-bubble strategy in 180-men tournaments
Payouts are 10-18th place get the same money, 1-9th increasingly more.
Suppose we have a mediocre stack, that would just about make the final table if we fold everything.
If we can get into a coinflip situation, is the right play to take or deny it?
What if it's a 40/60?

once ur itm, is it worth folding ur way to the final table for a marginally higher payout?
maybe its just me but i dont think it is.
the payouts on these things are so damned top heavy, that if i get itm, im taking every opportunity i can get to double up, whether its flipping or i think im slightly behind.
bear in mind that im a donk tho.

It really depends on how loose the players are, and then the cards. If the players are tight, and I feel I might get away with stealing the blinds, OK then. If they're loose, I'll go with the good cards but won't try and steal.

you shouldn't be looking to take -EV spots in tournaments.
However, the final 2 tables of ANY tournament should be played very aggressive, because soooo many people will be just trying to make the final table. use this to build a chip stack and win the tournament.

Let's say we have an average LMP raiser who has us covered, we have 88 in the BB, push? Probably neutral chipEV on average, with some FE and some dead money in the pot.

specifically in this hand, id call pf and push any flop that doesnt have an 8.
the difference in payout between finishing 18th and finishing 9th is 0.5% of pool.....to me, theres no value in trying to fold to get to the final table when if u do, at that stage ur only gonna have a small stack anyway.
its busto or robusto for me if get itm with a mediocre stack that can hurt someone if they call one of my pushes.....the pot is worth winning at this stage pf due to the size of the blinds plus the antes so, unless specific table dynamics tell me otherwise, im pushing with almost any pair, any big A and any 2 at all on the button. (if im lucky enough to have a couple nits in the blinds hoping to fold their way to the final table )
