Default Donkey Call w/ TPGK?

See my other post for table and personal image.

I am in BB this game.

There are 6 limpers.

I check my option w/ KQo

Flop comes down Q 3 8 - with 2 clubs

Hero - leads for $14 (pot size bet)
All fold to button
Button - All in for another $20

No solid reads on villian. This is his second hand. We talked a bit, he seems to understand the game.

There is 62 in the pot, I need to call 20. Little over 3-1 to call. can I lay this down?

The hands I lose to:

AQ
Q3
Q8
38
88
33

I discarded QQ, as it is highly unlikely.

Hands I beat:

Qx (any Q not above)
flush draw

I think we can safely discard, Q3,Q8,38.

I ended up making the call.

thoughts/suggestions?

You're playing 1/2 right?

It seems to me like a 10BB call with 3-1 and TPGK is an instant call imo. Make the stacks deeper and it's a tougher decision.

Against 6 limpers, I can't see how your hand is good. But of course someone might be shoving a draw.

Orion - All the limpers except the button fold when I lead on the flop.

It would be an instant fold if I had say a caller then the re-raise.

Yes it is 1/2.

You have to call here, IMO.

I prefer checking the family pot and raising all-in or folding depending on the action when it gets back around to you.

Checking did cross my mind. However, I am pretty well known for CRAI (or just check raising) out of the blind w/ top 2 or a set. I was afraid of not getting any action from a player w/ TP and a weaker kicker or perhaps even second pair.

Perhaps this is redundant, but by CRAI, wouldn't we get calls from people who are only ahead of us? Minus a few donks, I can't see anyone calling a CRAI when I had most everyone covered. I am rusty though, so perhaps my logic is flawed.

CHeck/calling one person out of position, generally only gets the money in when you get outdrawn. Check/calling and leading the turn wouldn't be terrible, but with people left to act, you let them catch up to you and even if you don't, you don't know what a good turn is. Check/folding's more of a default, but if one of these fags bet $5 and 1 or 2 fold and it's back to with 2-3 people who checked left to act, all-in's a profitable move.

I should clarify a bit - the check would have been to check raise/CRAI

Either way - good set of posts. I feel confident in how I played this hand.

After calling, villian shows 33 - for a set of 3's. I am drawing pretty thin and don't improve.

Gder - Would you take a different line?

I would be interested to how others would have played it both PF and flop.
