Okay, played in my first SnG last night on PokerStars after making some profit in ring hold'em. We were down to 4-handed. In the previous hand jeff189 called BB with 42o. I am in BB with Q5o and check to see the flop. The flop lands me with 2-pair. SB bets 1BB and I re-raise to 4BB, he calls. At this point I figure he has an Ace, but probably not two-pair. He re-raised on his previous 42o, two-pair flop. Can someone offer suggestions (more likely criticisms) of how I played this? Should I have known I was beat on the river, bet harder on the turn? Although, with his AK would I have really been able to get him off his hand?
I ended up in fourth, going all-in with TT against the same guy three hands later when he has AKs and draws out to the flush. So close to the money! Was this not a good hand to gamble with being on the bubble?

I think you shoulda have pushed on the turn, We can be pretty sure hes either on a draw, or a lone ace. He did play this very weird PF, did he always play very passively PF?
He was calling you regardless of what he had really ahd on the turn, another draw just developed and you need to cut those out. Push here.
He was going to call, and the beat was goign to happen, i dont think bigger best would have made a difference. But your bet of <1/2 pot on the turn is very weak. MAQke him pay to play that passively.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
Luck is a Residue of Design.

HE was playing so weakly, you couldnt tell, but I probably would have pushed on the flop, bottom two pair is very vulnerable - as you found out.

Look well payed to me, I would of gone all in on turn, But in this hand I am sure he calls any and all bet on all streets, IMO he thinks he is slowplaying his AK and wants u to go all in. Blinds can kill in more ways then one

IMO nice job not loosing more!
TT vs AK , U dont give enuff info to say if it was good play.
Did u bet all in or call all in, Pushing all-in w/TT is A LOT better than calling with All IN with TTIt is strange the way the ignorant and inexperienced so often and so undeservedly succeed when the informed and the experienced fail.

He only raised pre-flop with a JJ on one hand. Didn't get to see any of his other hands. I guess I got too excited hitting the two-pair and should have protected my hand, grabbed the 3BB and moved on. It was definetely some good experience though. Thanks for the advice.

The TT vs AK hand I wasn't too worried about. I had a stack with about 5BB left, and decided to make the move. He called my all-in since I was UTG and he was BB. I believe I had 750 in chips left, compared to his 5K. I expected someone to call and figured it would be a toss-up. Oh well!

Then U played last hand just fine!
As I said in 1st hand he will call EVERYTHING ON ALL STREETS, you did good not to go bust that handIt is strange the way the ignorant and inexperienced so often and so undeservedly succeed when the informed and the experienced fail.

Possibly push flop to make him make a mistake by calling.
I'd definately push turn.
Too late by the river to get out.
