Default First live tournament win with a bad play - or was it?

Okay so i'm buzzing as I got my first live tournament win. I think I played the last hand badly but wanted to see peoples opinions.

5 hours in and heads up against the one guy I want to be heads up with as I have seen him make terrible calls and suck out people time after time. I feel I have a great read on him and seen him not want to put down hands and play over aggressively.

Start of the hand he has 60,000 chips I have 138,000. Blinds 3,000 , 6,000.
He flat calls my BB. I check my 6h,7h. Flop 558 rainbow (no h's). I'm convinced he has missed the flop. (As I say this is a low standard of toruney only £20 ($40)) hence he is giving things away with his body language left, right and centre!

Anyway I raise 12,000, again after giving away that he has not hit at all he pushes all in. Here is my dilemma its going to cost me 42,000 more for a pot of 78,000 and I have to assume he is ahead of me on a high card. I have 14 outs assuming his higher card doesn't hit on the turn and the river.

Anyway I called - which I now think I shouldn't have done as I think I could have taken him down later. anyway he turned his cards and he had KJ.

the turn came a 7 (woohoo!), and the river a blank and my first tournry win (£450 ($900approx)).

Was pleased with my read, and thought this was a good spot to gamble. Was it good play, probably not, would I do it again... ummmm its very hard to say no!

Would be pleased to hear opinions

I think the call is one that is relatively marginal. The pot is giving you nearly 2 to one. You can be assured that he either has the trips or he has nothing. So if he has nothing you've got 14 outs. If he has the set you have 8 outs. Both cases give you the odds to call. I think you call here with your stack. If you lose you are still sitting on a decent stack and have a little bit of wiggle room with the blind level.

Check raise all in on the flop.
