Ideas? Can we afford to play tight early?
This format seems to be relatively new.

STT, 6-max turbo.

I've played a few and I really sucked at them, turbos aren't my strong point and 6-max turbos are even harder for me. From the little I've seen people seem to play push/fold right from the start, but its been a while since I've played one. I know Obga used to play them a lot, dunno if he still does.

I was just interested in some general strategy discussion.
Playing 4 tables now. In one of them 2 already dropped out at 10/20. LOL.

Played two 6-max's on Stars and got one second place. I took a big chip lead when I shoved AKo into AQ sooted and he didn't improve (took out another guy and was up to 6K in chips). Used my stack to play back at the SB when he open-limped to me a few times, and finally got down to HU. Even in chips (I had him covered by 80 though), I find AJo and shove (guy was a semi-maniac). He calls with KT and spikes a K on the flop.

I play only turbo sng's because I can only play about an hour a night. What has worked well for me is to play really tight early. When I do play a big hand pf 90% of the time I bring it in for a good raise typically 4 to 5 bb (this might be a touch to much, what do you think obga). Small pairs early on I will fold. 77 to 10 I will limp fold depending on action and position. KQ is only k I will play early on and only from position and cheaply, lost way to many chips to Kjs or K10s to make those hands pay until late in the SNG.

No limping.
Only JJ+ in EP-.
If a raise in front, push over the top every time, every level.
No limping.
Really work on push/fold dynamics...only thing that matters.
Prepare yourself for hardcore variance.BOSS
