How to approach Small Blind...
I'm horrible at playing position. How exactly do you approach the small blind when up against the big blind? Do you play it like a heads up? Do you play tight, passive, or super aggressive?

Are we talking cash game or tourneys?
If it's cash games and it gets folded around to me, I'll play the SB very aggressively with a fairly wide range (medium Ax, any pair, suited connectors, some gap connectors etc.). I'm trying to limit my limping on the sb as it really gets you nowhere, you just end up OOP against someone with a completely random hand.
Obviously this depends on the tendancies of the bb though, mainly his fold bb to steal stat. If that's high then almost all sb hands are getting raised when it folds around.

David is spot on.
The same applies to SnGs, basically you should not complete too often, unless you have a small pair or Ax suited and it's a multiway pot.

Yeah I play it like heads up as well. Only if it's folded all the way to me.

fold everything from small blind.
trust me, if you limp or raise garbage you will get in sticky situations.
By garbage I mean 55-, A9- K9-, etc..
Just raise good hand OOP, and limit your limping/completing. Passive ppl will call you PF, and then you will be stuck with a flop and will most likely have to cbet/bluff.

gder is right.
I play like a virgin from the SB (super tight as hell ) because the last thing I need is to catch an OK flop, lead out into 5 players, then be pissed and maybe play for all my chips.

You can really only expect to lose money in the SB.
If you fold every hand than you only lose 0.25 BB/100 (PT BB). So, if you are currently losing more than this, then you can expect a lower lose rate if you fold every hand.
But of course, you don't fold every hand. But if you only play hands were you expect to be ahead a majority of the time (99+, AQs+), then you will expect to win more.
