Default The power of suited connectors.(story)

I just read a thread of a suited connector winning a big pot. That reminded me of a hand I folded in the casino. Heres what happend.

It was my very 1st time at the casino I bought in for $150 at the 1/2 table. There were massive chipleaders there that were extremly loose and aggressive. Raising like $20 preflop. I picked up on that and found that if I raised $10 no1 respected that even if I was the tightest person at table. So the only raises preflop that could get rid of people is $15+ So I could barly get into a hand.

I was persistent and I doubled through one of the chipleaders when I hit 2 pair on flop and pushed and they called right away with middle pair. So I have about $325 worth in chips now. Anyways thats a brief understanding of the table im at.

Im in big blind sitting with
    Its 10 handed
    Utg:folds
    chipleaders:raises $20
my friend:calls(Hes the tighest person at table)
    seat 4 calls...
all the way to small blind calls so its 9 handed.
Im sitting there with 10,9 I know my odds are very good, but fromt he start of playing poker If the tightest person at the table goes into table with that many players im out, I just play my poker like that. Boy did I regret this hand I laid down preflop.
    flop:

I remeber my heart sank, Im like what the fucking hell... I just had to call $18 into a $160 pot and this would have been mine.... fucking dog shit...

I didnt show any emotions i just watched the hand play out. The chipleader being the donkey he is over bets the pot to 200. This is where I almost cried. I didnt even have to do anything and I would have gotten my all my money into the pot.

It didnt stop another person went all in for about $60 more. I remeber putting my hands on my knees and I grasped my pants.... Fuck im a idoit. Chip leader calls.

    chipleader has top pair
    caller has 2 pair
    turn blank.
    river blank.

I just sat there in awe.

So heres the strategy that proboly most of you already know and I had to learn the hard way if you get really REALLY REALLY good odds with suitedconnectors(especially when you get to close off the action) CALL THE FUCKING BET or you might lose out.

God just thinking of this hand pissed me off so much.
    Hi.

yeah if 9 ppl are seeing the flpo, I would def call.

however, if not alot of ppl are sing the flop, I might choose tofold b/c you said thsi game is very agressive and that means if you miss you will have to check/fold.

Don't get too pissed, this happens all the time.
I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.

you need to do a little research on implied odds and good family pot hands. big difference between calling with 9Ts and AJ offsuit in this spot.

yeah 910s is one of the best hands you can get in this position to call with. Implied odds out the wazoo.

Sucky flop. Live poker is rigged.

    +1
Suited connectors work much better where you have more chance of seeing all 5 community cards.
