So, I've already proved to myself that I am a winning player at sngs (RIO of 26% over 644 sngs - maybe not the biggest sample size, but close enough). I'm not sure about MTT's due to my sample size being about 150, but I'm well on my way so far.
One thing I haven't kept track of is my ring game play and i want to prove I can beat the rock gardens on stars. Since I recently bought pokertracker I can now fulfill my hearts desire and keep my stats, which I will post in this thread as a journey throught my quest. (Any tips based on the stats are appreciated).
As it stands my BR is at $2000, so I plan to prove that I can beat 50NL 6 max, then after that's done I should have enough to comfortably take a shot at 100NL and prove that I can beat that. How many hands do you think I need at each level to prove that I'm a winning player?

I think you need at least 10k-20k at each level.
But what the hell do I know.If you are one in a million, there's eight just like you in Manhattan.

25K at each level.
And bud, you give good insight and it's obv. you're a solid player, but for a sample size of SNGs to mean anything...you need 2-3K.
I'm not being a dick, I'm being 100% truthful.BOSS

I agree with Seany, it's safe to say you're solid but there is prolly still substantial variance in your ROI if you play another 500 games. Just curious, what SnG levels did you play btw?

Long time since I played pokerstars but I just had a look for you.
The 6max 0.25/0.5 tables do look soft. Plenty of 40-50% tables. You're really just playing position and cards hard here. 25k Should identifiy you as a winner BUT.. If you find yourself on a table full of 23%/15% players - or there abouts - then leave.
At 0.5/1.0 its a different story (at least when I look at 6 pm GMT). This is a gateway limit. people are playing just off value and your game needs to be very different. Judging by what I see. Your patterns will have to be different, your trapping more, re-raising when you feel like it
and stack sizes are all. If the tables are the same peak time for you then you will need to bounce between the limits - set a stop loss.
Post your PT stats (position and general info + detail) after 5k.. we'll see what we can do.
Although your an accomplished SnG player - cash is very different - AK will kil you if you play it too hard.. and equally if you play it too soft.

You speak the truth, I know that if I want to really get a real idea of my RIO I need a larger smale size. I think that after 1k sng's, though, it can give you a pretty good idea at that limit if your winning/losing. (This was my goal to get to, but after some tourney places I decided to move up limits)
Dafish, I play the $27 STT turbo's and $22 MTT sng's on stars at the moment, but the stats I gave were for the $16 STT turbo's.
deme, good advice. 50NL to 100NL is definately a big jump. So far i've found 50NL 6max pretty soft. I've tagged a few donks to follow around and have logged 1.6k hands so far and despite losing 1 and 3/4 buy ins with KK, I'm still getting a pretty good win rate. I'll post after 5k, I plan on doing some 3 tabling now that I have Gametime+ set up.Could god microwave a burrito so hot, that he himself could not eat it?

If you're rocking a 26% ROI over 600 SNGs at the $16 turbos, you my friend, are on the GREATEST heater I have EVER seen on ANY forum.
Congrats.BOSS
