    Default Playing Deep

Most ppl are used to playing w/ 100BI since the opkersites made up some arbitrary thing where you can only buy in for 100.

Well on FT I play tables where you buy in for 200. Often times the effective stacks will be 200, 300, or even 400bb. (I once got up to 720bb ).

So what hands decrease/increase in value? What hands should I start calling w/, instead of rerraiisng w/ ? A specific situation that just happened:

CO, or MP raises to 4bb, Im in OTB w/ JJ, I just call instead of RR, we both had about 220bb.

Should I Still be 3 betting hands like TT and JJ like I do @ 100bb tables?

Also, please share any other thaughts regarding anything having to do w/ deep stack.
I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.

when you're deep you want to avoid putting in large chunks of your stack(like 20%)

you either want to be all-in in a dominating position, or in cheap, especially againt stations or people who overplay their hands. there is no need to push miniscule edges in these games. your profit will come from being in dominating position against bad players.

Additionally you want to be playing pots for small raises: if there is only $5 in the pot it's tough to get someone to commit another $300. on the other hand, if there is $25 in the pot it's much easier.

in a $5 pot: you bet $5 on the flop someone calls. you bet $20 on the turn someone calls. you can't suddenly bet $275 on the river and expect too many calls. you'd actually be lucky to get another $50 bet in.

in $25 pot:you bet $25 on flop, $75 on turn, and then a bet of $200 on the end is around pot sized.

I wouldn't re-raise with the hands you mentioned, just flat call and look to stack someone off instead of reopening the betting. basically, try to get involved in huge pots when you feel you are dominating someone and small pots otherwise.

3-betting isn't very effective that deep. The only effective 3-bets are too large in proportion to the pot size. If there's a raiser that knows how to fold out of position who opens a lot of pots and you have JJ OTB, you'll have to RR the 4x raise to about 15bbs which is fine with TT/JJ as it'll make your hand easier to play after the flop with a made hand as you can cut down on his implied odds on the flop. Nothing at all wrong with calling, though.

The only difference is that you have more flexibility to vary your play while making less "mistakes." The key mistake is that people get aggressive and pay people off or get aggressive in action with betting/raising, but don't vary their play enough to be deceptive and give great implied odds or lose what they don't have to with bets that can be easily picked off.
