Hi,
new around here, have been reading for sometime though....hope i am welcome.
ok, i want to hear your opinions about the following situation. Unfortunately i do not have the exact hand history about the specific hand....
Me on the button with KK early at a MTT with a healthy chip stack (doubled up early). Early position (a guy with half my chips) raises, mid position(a guy with almost as much chips as i have) calls, all others fold to me.I reraise. EP calls, MP min raises back.
OK, I guess there is no case of folding here, but do i call or just go all in? One of them could have aces but, what can i do... With all those maniacs out there calling anything with trash what is the right move here?
My choice follows in white:
I shoved. The MP guy showed AA, i was pretty dead(he even made a set on the river).
I mean is there any way you could get away from such a hand? In case i call an the flop contains an Ace, then maybe if i face heavy bets i can lay this down. But otherwise if a low and uncoordinated flop comes, is there really a way not to go broke if you are against pocket aces?

I re raise/push here. The guy in MP should NOT have AA unless he is a complete donk. Flat calling a raise with aces with several players left to act is definitely -ev so we can assume we are ahead of his range. The EP raiser only has half your chips and I'd be willing to gamble half my chips with KK (bear in mind there's no certainty that he's calling, he still has an active player behind him)!
I checked the result, and it turns out MP was just a complete donk. He deserved to flop an ace and have you hit running kings.
Can you call PF? You have great position which is an argument for calling and against a single aggressive opponent it may be a good move to mix up your play but with 2 people in the pot and the blinds still to act I think a call is incorrect. Ideally you want to be heads up going to the flop.
If a low flop comes then you probably are going broke without a strong read on your opponent, that's poker!

Just shove, the other guy will have another big pair or a big ace more often than AA IMO.
