Default What is the earliest position...

Playing full table ring, what is the earliest position that you will play:

    AQ suited and unsuited?
    AJ suited and unsuited?

Depends on the type of table. I tend to fold AQo and AJo from the first 3 positions. I will begin either limping or raising with them in middle depending on the table. I will of course raise AJsooted and AQsooted from middle position. In middle and late position I fold AJo to any raise and sometimes call AJsooted and AQo and AQ sooted. If there has been a raise and reraise I fold most all in all positions. If the table is very loose with a lot of preflop limping I will sometimes raise AQo and AQsooted UTG to mix it up and see what happens. Otherwise I have completely removed AJ sooted or otherwise from my early position play.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

    Agree pretty much with that.

Obviously it depends on the table but i tend to be a bit more LAG with them. I don't like to limp with either in early or middle position, preferring a fold or raise strategy, generally folding AJ until middle and mostly folding AQ UTG.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

AQs ill play from all positions
AQo/AJs/AJo ill drop in the first 3 spots, but I will raise with them in middle-late..

AQo ill start raising in MP, AJs/AJo, ill only raise from late

I pretty much agree with eclipse except I will sometimes limp AQo from EP.

    both hands-
most of the time - limp from early position 60%
sometimes- depending on my image, i'll raise either hand from early position. 35%

not very often- i'll fold AQ hand from early position. 3%
sometimes- i'll fold AJ from early position, depending on table and table image. 10%
f*cking it up for everyone else since 1969.

Depends. But I almost never open-fold AQ/AJ. The only FR game I play has a NoMax. buy-in, though. So, I'm almost always open-raising. I'm more likely to open-limp AQs than AJo, though.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm a little surprised to see that everyone is willing to play these hands from any position. I've noticed recently that anytime I try and play either AQ or AJ from EP, I usually wind up losing a lot of chips when the flop comes Axx. I find that too many people will just call PF with a better A.
