I bet the turn if it has been checked around on the flop. That being said, I definitely bet the river.

I would of bet turn as I feel u r ahead
so if i got to river cked down i really belive u r in lead BUT how do u get paid??
Really want someone after me to bet it, so It can get called/Raised/folded and then back to me where i call 1 bet fold to two,
If I really dont think that will happen, and that were player reads really help, as some player will bet any river that gets cked down.
So most of the time I would bet river and call 1 raise,<<<<<<should be folding to it? As most of time it's the A and not a bluff
If player read is right i ck and hope for more callers in between.Last edited by Cleveland OH B&M; 02-15-2005 at 06:22 PM.

perfect answerReally want someone after me to bet it, so It can get called/Raised/folded and then back to me where i call 1 bet fold to two,
why did you ruin your perfect answer by posting thisSo most of the time I would bet river and call 1 raise,<<<<<<should be folding to it? As most of time it's the A and not a bluff
chances are, much like you guys said, someone would have bet the turn with a ten or a nine. If you bet out what hand is going to call you??? none that your opponents hold unless they have you beat. A 5 might possibly call if someone has it.
on the other hand by checking you will give your opponents a chance to bluff, winning you an extra bet. and if you are beat it will only cost you 1 bet not 2. let a king high or absolutely nothing put a bet into the pot trying to steal it, this is a bet you will not win by betting out.
if you bet out 8 out of ten times everyone folds, and i would say 1 out of ten you are beat and 1 out of ten someone calls.
8 times you risk 1 BB and win 0
1 time you risk 1 BB and win 1
1 time you risk 1 BB and lose 1-2
at best you break even
if you check call a single bet, I would guess that 3 out of ten times someone bluffs or bets a lesser hand and again 1 out of ten times you are beat. the rest of the time it is checked around
6 times there is no bet
3 times someone bluffs and you win 1 BB
1 time you are beat and lose only 1 BB
you should show a profit of 2 BB by checking and inducing a bluff. this is assuming noone else calls.
these situations come up quite a bit where you are fairly certain you have the best hand yet checking is the correct play. keep a look out for these situations, picking up 2 extra BB every session by inducing bluffs, especially at the lower limits, adds up pretty fast.

You are right they come up OFTEN , and is where there is A LOT of profit or loss
Sum thoughts on y i would bet it sometimes.
My image is one like has no fear of stealing pots so that might get me called by some of my rivals,
dont know how many times I check it checked around and i see a small PP that would of paid off
I do believe u r right and its a Ck call most of times

I've CR'd these a ton. Three people is a lot. 2:1 on the pot to bet, but catching someone with their pants down is easy with this many people. A weak Ace at least bets the turn. I really don't have a big problem with betting the turn, folding to a raise, and check/calling the river just because of that diamond. K thru 9 of diamonds are all alive and any combo of these cards, many limit players like to play.

I might......
I would have bet the pot on the river, thinking that if it was checked that far no one beat my ace....BUT I have actually checked an ace that far myself trying to trap...and without money in the pot even checked the river! By checking in the river with the best hand , hands like QT might actually bet heavy and lose heavy...THEREFORE tread lightly......you just never know what others might be doig when you DONT have the BEST HAND and you are playing to the second high pair.....
