As if sucking and PLO, PLO8 limit O8b and all varients of hold'em isn't enough, I have decided that I want to suck at Stud 8/b too.
What a great choice, I suck at this game way more then I ever thought I could suck at anything in my life. Although i probably see 4th less than 16% of the time, I still somehow manage to go through money like marion barry in a crack/whore house.
Anyway.

bets a guy with three premium low cards calls, I just call - was this good?
The turn give the bettorthe other player gets an A, and I get a 9. I folded here, all good?
Ends up the moron better had no low or flush draw and only had 7s.

but good players will fold winnig hands. no use getting mixed up in that hand after 5th, you need runner runner low and could be drawing practically dead for high. Much easier to find a better spot to put your money in.

That is what I thought, too many ways to get outdrawn even if I knew I had the high at the time.

beav, first hand 1/2 stud 8 on pacific.
(23)4 I'm the bring in, 1 raise 4 other players call. 7 on 4th 4 way capped my opponents boards are
86
TT
J9
5th i get 5 3 way capped other low dropped so i figure I'm getting 1/2.
6th i get 6 but 3 way capped again so I'm only getting 1/2, meaningless 7 on end.
guy only had trip tens other guy has 2 pair $120 pot on 1/2 table, LMAO
I should point out playing 1/2 at pacific is like playing 5/10 elsewhere. they use a 50 cent ante! on 1/2!!! pot starts at 4.50 after bring inLast edited by Steve Ruddock; 02-15-2005 at 12:48 PM.

Nice hand!
I haven't seen one like that in a week. I start with 234s, next comes an offsuit K, and 4 other people all get dealt my suits.
I don't understand that outragous ante, Party does the same thing. Pokerstars in 10c for the same level I believe (of course since I am losing they are obviously rigged against good players).
Do you like the action of the high ante games?

pacific is the only place i'll play stud 8, 6-8 people see 4th street every hand. the pots are generally over $30 every hand. and the players are weak passive.
you take some beats but hey.
personally i like the bigger ante, I have to call a 50 cent bring in into an $8 pot. if you play tight you always get paid off when you hit.
I believe party has a 25 cent ante, i know it's lowerthan pacificsRead my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

$0.50 for 1/2 is a bit high. The lowest casino game I've seen is 1/5 with a $0.50 ante, $1 bring in, and 2/5 betting. The best low limit action, rake, and structure is usually online. Surprised to see this.
Good hand, Beav. You had the right mindset. Imagine if you hit a 3 or 5 on 5th St.He might've even bet if you hit an Ace. What would you have done? How many people were still in the hand and what was the pot if you remember of have an HH?

foxwoods is actually 7 stud central, somehow the game stays incredibly popular in the northeast. So the games over 20/40 are tough.
I wouldn't play above 10/20 stud at the woods, there are some serious 7 stud pro's down there, and there is also a lot of people playing out of the same roll if you get my drift.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog
