my thoughts r that him raising on the flop he didnt have a set cause i showed i had a probably big pair preflop so y wouldnt he call to entice me to raise,
therefore i put him on a pair higher than the board,
on the river i was getting 3 1/2-1 on my money so i c my call as a profitable play

sometimes there is nothing you can do

i mean the guy with an open end draw was raising the flop
i would have put him on a flush on the turn.....but he had straight which still beats you

at that limit, when those guys bet out, i'd get all in and make them play behind for all the money
