Default The 4 and 2 rule

I remember learning this a couple years ago or so but was recently reintroduced to it the other day whilst reading a poker book.

If you already know this trick, then I apologize, but it's such an incredibly useful tool to know what I thought I'd post it here.

Okay, this give a very close number to the actual percent, usually only off by about 1 or 2% so it's very useful.

To calculate the odds of hitting one of your outs on either the turn or river, simply multiply your number of outs by 4. To calculate the odds of hitting one of your outs with one card to come (such as flop to turn decision or turn to river decision), simply multiply your number of outs by 2.

This is an extremely useful tool, especially when deciding whether it's mathematically correct to call in a multiway pot, such as with a flush draw.

Compare the 'trick' results to the mathematical results on here and you'll see how close they are.

This will help my game immensely!

I have opp has

Flop:

I'm about 54% to win. 4 times 15= 60. Then the second part is my outs(14) minus 8, which = 6, then take that away from the 60. It's in HOH.

im pretty sure 4 and 2 rule is inaccurate, i will tell you why;

when i have a flush draw and go all in, i only male it about 10% of the time
when the donky calls my bet w/ 2 outs, he usually hits it 33% of the time.

when they flop quads, i hit 1 of my 2 outs to make a full house 75% of the time
