oh did I raise? Man, I meant to say fold........ I'll just fold now.
I hate KQs in NL, especially that early in of a position, that is barely a limping hand. In fact, I think it is below most recommendations for play that early.

With the blinds so low I play it with a hit it big (2 pair or straight or flush draw) on the flop or walk away mentality, hoping for a community pot that I can make a lot after venturing a little.
I'm assuming the reraise is either a pp or Ax and in either case I'm not looking to play at this stage of the tourney.
With the blinds even a bit bigger utg or ep KQs is a ditch for me.
Interested in how others play this kind of hand in NL tourneys.
If it was folded to you in late position how would you play Beavis?

I would probably raise with it in late position.
This is hand I have been fucked-over by too many times though, and I am a little leary of it.
I would rather limp with JTs or 78s early. KQ is so hard to get away from when you hit top pair, Ferguson trapped himself with it in the WSOPME last year but got lucky and sucked out.
Limping is ok I guess, but I don't like the raise. How do you play it when you hit top pair?
I will see what harrington says about KQ when I go home.

If I hit top pair with KQ (on a ragged flop) and I'm first to act, I'll bet a third(ish) of the pot (I've been picking up a lot of pots on the flop with small raises preflop and small bets on the flop with draws and questionable hands).
After that I'll walk away from a reraise or check the turn after a call (and then see what happens).
I consciously say to myself hit it big or walk away before playing KQ, just as I remind myself not to get involved in flops with QQ if an Ace hits.
In fact thinking about it I talk to myself a lot before playing certain hands.

I'm limping preflop.

I checked HoH last night, and KQs is about his minimum playable hand from that position. He says he plays it with 50/50 call and raise.

That's about how I play it in ep 50/50 raise limp.
I've just ordered HoH Beav, sounds like it could be very relevant.
