Hey, after losing $10 with AA v 45os and $16 with KK v QJ in one afternoon I've started to wonder what the hell I'm doing wrong! Both times I got majorly sucked out on, back door straight and back door flush! I was betting big too, I'm not slow playing them!
(Ok this isn't a lot of money but it's 2 buy-ins and I'm more of a recreational player than someone trying to make serious money)
I play pretty tight in cash games and only tend to play the premium hands and I pay particular attention to position also, is this a mistake?
I play pp's 22-TT for set value and fold most in early position, raise JJ depending on position and always raise QQ and raise or re raise with KK, AA and AK. I also love suited connectors.
I'm a fairly good SnG player with regular cashes and wins but I want to improve my cash game!
Does anybody have any advice on playing cash games, I'm sick of the fish at the 0.05/0.10 level so I've moved up to 0.10/0.25 and I'm still getting the same shit!![]()
By the way, I normally play 10 handed but occasionally play 6 as well.
Thanks!
James

Just know that shit like that comes with the territory bro. Dont let it affect you or your game. In the long run your wins will outweigh your losses.

This doesn't happen to me.
I make money playing tournaments and lose money in cash games.
In cash games I either break even or make a small profit if I don't get AA or KK or lose everything if I get AA or KK, lol! It's not that I can't let go of the hands either.
I was hoping somebody would actually be able to give some advice on strategy since there are so many good cash players here.
Nevermind

basically... play post-flop not pre-flop. Well, play pre-flop but... theres more to do postflop. Also, don't fold straight flushes. I'm out of tips, I suck at cash. I get too bored.
Could god microwave a burrito so hot, that he himself could not eat it?

...6-handed is juicier than 9/10 handed imo. I play TAG in cash games, and it works for me.
