How are you guys playing thi s hand after he raises? How much do you think you need to continue(including implied odds)? Are you coming out firing on the turn or river?

Fold the flop, but I think if you are staying in the turn, you should check/raise. I'm not sure if that is the correct move, but it is something he won't expect, after just calling his raise on the flop.

For me this comes down to how the other guy normally plays. Keep in mind he's betting into the PF raiser here. You're going to have to put him on a bluff to stay around. Too many times players will hang on to their AK's too long though. All you have is ace high at the end if you don't hit though.

On a paired flop, I'm always respecting a raise as meaning some kind of holding. In that particular example, I bail out and fold at the flop even with AK.

I'd bet the flop and then fold to the raise.
Getting my stack eaten away with AK that doesn't hit is one of my weaknesses.

lol, why don't you just PM Red and ask him what he had :-p
I think I woulda folded to the raise on the flop, I don't like sticking around with AK with no pair and no good read

I know what he had.

I'm not quite as skilled in NL, but in limit that is a big no-no. I'm guessing to not raise AK PF is the same here?

i thought kid[red] doesnt bluff?
but since its against you it looks like AK is good here because of the weak ass turn bet. only way AK isnt good is if he has you so agro that you will raise after seeing a 1.5 raise on flop then a $1 raise on turn with nothing
that turn bet looks so weak. comes down to either him bluffing because its you or him wanted you to raise cuz hes acting weak. AK looks good here i guessLast edited by Jack King off; 02-01-2005 at 06:45 PM.
