Steve Terry and I have been arguing about this on PokerPages - this is not my hand, it was from someone else.
$50 Buy in NL Holdem Live
About 1000 Rebuys and Add ons. 1st hand after all that mess is over. Blinds 200/400 I've got slightly above average stack w/ about 5200+/- 9 at the table
Player is in BB get JsJd,
utg calls, and 2 more players call
Chip leader raises to 1000
All fold to you in the BB.
1st limper was new to the table, second couldn't even figure out when he had to post the blinds, 3rd limper has been around for maybe 10 hands but loves to see a flop cheap and has played a few questionable hands, raiser is a pretty good player who will raise to eliminate weaker hands that could draw him out.
what do you do?

meh, so what if its 20% of your stack. You will probably pick up enough callers to justify with the implied odds.
Take the flop and play it from there. If the CL is as aggresive as you imply, then you may be able to win a good pot with a non-overcard flopLast edited by Marm; January 26th, 2005 at 10:06 AM.

Well you can't call here for set value obviously, so it depends on how the CL has been playing, I'm leaning towards fold with 2 limpers though. How would you play this if it was T-T? Definate fold right? Is JJ that much better? I'm pushing QQ and AKs here folding anything else.
A call seems terrible here, if any overcard falls, you will have a tough time calling a bet, the only situation where you like is if 3 rags or a jack falls, if 3 rags fall you are either losing it all or winnin a small pot

Marm, everyone folded to you the UTG limper is the only person left to act. And you will have to act first on the flop.
