OK this hand has been bugging me all week. I do not play a lot of live (30-1 online-live), so I really wasnt trusting my poker tells here, in fact I really didnt get any, but I'm a Paramedic, and I deal with bullshit every day, so reading people is kinda natural to me. That said, I felt violated by how we both played this hand.

I know my river bet was wrong in every way, and I know why, so you don't need to foucs on that, actually I'm not sure what i'm looking for here.

Tournament, blinds are 5/10, I've got about 400+ TC Leader at my table, Table has been kinda loose, but NO aggression. Usually the PF raiser picks up the blinds unless they have a hand (I had a better one, hence my stacK, starting 200TC). I get QJs UTG (or +1 or +2), and at the stupid dealer only spitting out 18 h/hr, I needed to play weaker hands pretty hard (The blinds doubled evey 15, I knew even 100 bb's would soon be a short stack). I make a 3 bb raise, 3 callers. Hmmm...

Flop comes 893 rbw. I check, MP checks, MP2 checks, LP girl checks, she knows how to play and has been betting any time she catches anything on the flop. She bets out 50. I'm thinking shes got A8, K9, one of those types of hands. I figure my inside str8 is good, along with both overs, so I call There was about 100 in the pot, plus her 50, so i'm getting about 3-1. I could tell she didnt like her hand witht that bet. It kinda felt like she wanted to pick up the pot there, and wasnt happy at all that I called.

Turn is a small brick. I check, she bets 50 again, I literally get my chips in the same time, same reasons.

River is a J. I'm now thinking MHIG. 8932J. TPGK vs her mid pair. I check, she bets out 100. That should have been a warning, but for some stupid reason (pride?) I checkraised another 100. 100? wtf was I thinking?? A min raise CR? WEAK! And then its the only called if I'm beat scenario right? -EV move i know now. 2 pair, a set, whatever, strong possibilites. Flat callign the river bet would have been the better move.

She calls quickly, which is even more surprising since she flips up the pure nuts, QT. I would have expected her to push in there, especially since we were still in the rebuy period (funny though, there was no rebuy syndrome at this event).

She literaly hit a three outer. the only card in the deck that gets me heavily invovled in the pot, and she still winning. Anything else she would have checked on the river (I'm sure of that). A Q and I win by the kickers.

I dunno. I feel I played the hand better (except for the river CR of course DOH!). I knew she didnt have a good hand, and that I was drawing to a much better one. But what?

I was so pissed after that hand, only had 120 left, didnt feel like spedning any more $ for another 200TC that I knew would be worthless within the hour, so I didnt rebuy or add-on. PIcked up QQ UTG aftere the rebuy period, Got called in 2 spots, tripled up, went on dominating my table, got moved to another table, had over 70% of the chips at that table, was still < 10bb's. Was on my way to the final as the CL (with 10 bb's) when my KK (allin) got craked by 8Ts, and then next hand my K9s witha flop of K93 loses to A3. Left me with less than a SB at the final, still outlasted 3 others to finish 7th.
