    Default outplayed by slowplayed aces?

here is a hand from earlier today where i felt that i was outplayed by a player slowplaying AA.

i dont know how i could have escaped as he showed no agression (it was a passive table) and i thought i was ahead all the way. luckilly i did not lose my whole stack as the river completed a hand i thought he could drawing to.

    NL ring game (0.02/0.04)

i am in mid position with Td Jh and follow one limper into the pot, the game is very passive and 6/7 people see each flop usually for the minimum, so i think i have odds to play JTo. 2 later position players limp, sb raises to 0.06 everyone calls. pot is around 20c

flop comes down Th As Ts, it checks around to me, i bet size of pot everyone folds except sb who flat calls. pot around 60c

turn is 8h, sb checks, i am thinking sb has either an A with decent kicker or a draw to a high flush, or now even a heart flush draw, i bet a dollar as there are a few draws possible, sb flat calls.

river is Kh sb checks, i have recently seem him check raise the turn with some big hands so i check behind. sb shows AA for Aces full of tens. If turn or river had been A, J or 8 i would have lost my whole stack!!

You probably did well to escape as light as you did

You played well by limping with JTo, as with other specualtive hands and this is a good one to play in a passive game like this. Nice check on the river, too many draws came in that would be played at these levels.

This should be a Yay! hand since you just learned a lot about this guy and you kept your stack.

The guy played this well against you except for checking to you on the river. If I'm sitting with trip aces and I can get you to bet fairly big, it only makes sense that I'll string you along. Can't give you a free showdown like he did though

From your perspective, you are lucky it wasn't worse than it is. You made a good read it seems at the river, although you'd normally want to bet it out here of course.

Remember though, JTo from middle position isn't a hand you're going to make money with in the long run. It's a toss really.

Actually KC, I disagree with you on the JTo. Look at the limitsd hes playing, NL .01/.02, If he hit TP, his kicker is probably good actually. His hand is probably better than 75% of the hands in play at these tables. Now if you move up a few limits, yeah, its a loser, but at these limits, your fewer mistakes are far compensted by their greater ones. A LPG is a great game for JTo.

yea the reason i played JTo was becuase 90% of hands there was 9 or 10 to the flop without a raise. people were showing that they would not raise AA, KK, QQ before the flop.
