i had someone do that to me but i got lucky.

player 1 opens the bet w/ 2.
i reraise blind 5
player 3 announces a blind raise to 15.
everyone folds, i call blind.
flop hits, i throw my last 10 in blind and get an insta call and player 3 announces he has AA before he flips his cards and i catch his lie. he still claims that it was a blind raise and he didn't know what he had until he flipped the cards. either way my money was in the pot.
i look at the board and flip my first card, deuce. checked the board and i matched. flip the second and deuce. set up over aces blind. incredible.

I would love for someone to get so mad they threatened me. That would really get the game going. Love it!

Ok, you are a dick. I predict you will be banned soon.

Poker is war but there is still some honor. This is no different than the person who would stab someone in the back rather than fight them face to face.

Welcome to the forum. Nice start.

my god this is a mind game not some battle between samurai warriors. It would be a pleasure to out-play/out-smart you.

I predict you don't play any type of real sports at a high level and don't know what honor really is.

Futher, I predict that you are not a great player

Why do I do this...(sigh)...ok...here goes...

1. Mind game or not, there is still some honor in it. Ask anyone on here. Ask any pro. You will find a very small crowd that agrees that what you did was right. It was working an angle, which in poker is considered cheating without breaking the rules. I wouldnt be suprised if a pitt boss that caught you doing it told you to stop or get out.

2. Outplay me? If you have to work angles to "outplay me" then your poker skills suck. I will take you on heads up ANYTIME.

3. What do "sports at a high level" have to do with poker? I predict that you dont play any sports at a high level, but whatever. What you did is no different than going into a football game and squeezing a guys nuts to keep him from catching the ball. Maybe not against the rules per say, but still a dirty way to play.

4. Take a poll on this forum or any poker forum. See how many people think that what you did is some kind of "sweet poker move".

5. Maybe you should just leave this forum now before you have to be banned. We dont need another Pates or Manguydude. (unless you are one of those two, which I wouldnt be surprised since you have so much in common with them).

6. Your a dick.

No it's not in general.

For this play however, I haven't decided it's ranking.

In that case I would stop.

I'm sure this will never happen so, oh well.

I am a professional athlete, but who cares and it has nothing to do with this argument. I was just making a prediction about you, based on how you used the word "honor".

It is dirty and I don't care. (e.g. any pro athlete in professional competition)

I'll pass, I do think this is one of many many good moves/plays that could be employed in a given situation.

You will have the last word if you choose. I will not post on this thread again and probably not again. I have tons of other stuff to do including playing poker.

I would love to get banned. I don't care. do you...? flattering.

I predict you enjoy the aforementioned.

further... I'm sure you're a very good player and wish you the best. You admitted the validity in that this could possibly be a good move against some players. I am also a very good player, but have no way to establish this, and really don't care. I have an extensive background in mathematics and was just wondering about the legality of the play. I have lots of other plays and general tactics that work well for me in my 2 years of play (big deal).

take care all.
