I only play very strong hands early on. I let the aggresive players eliminate each other early. When it is down to 4-6 players I get creative to buy blinds to have chips in the final stages. Final stages are played like survival of the fittest.

Play loose early and try to double up once or twice early. Then tighten up and coast ITM.

Keep the pots small early on unless you have a big hand. There is nothing worse than busting out early with top two pair to a donk who chased his flush to the river against the odds.

early on, small pocket pairs and suited connecters = gold/idiot busters. Near the money, push around tight players if you have the stack to do so. If on a shortstack try to find somewhere to get your money in with the best hand.
