Stud/8 Question

You have 4 low cards on 4th street. What is your general rule for playing them? The way I've been playing them, if I have the lowest low draw (say I have 643A and the other players have at best a 7, I'm capping if I can. (Assuming there is more than 1 other player in the pot.) How do you play it, and when do you slow down if 5th and 6th brick out?
