    Default 6 Card Omaha

Went to my local casino yesterday to play a couple of tournies and saw a Dealers Choice game going but they were playing Omaha with 6 cards.

For anyone who has ever played this game, how does this affect your starting hand requirements and post flop play? I assume playing anything other than the nuts or draws to nuts on any given street is a huge error?

Each player receives 5 cards in the hole. There are 5 board cards, which are shared by the players. The board cards can be laid out in a flop, turn, river or they can be dealt out one by one. Players can use any combination between their 5 hole cards and 5 board cards to win.

My first time ever playing live poker was a pineapple tournament. Ultimate bet also offers this game. I've seen two variations. The one on UB lets you see the flop with all three cards. The one I played live required you to discard one before the flop.

Overall, it is a fun game, and maybe we'll see it at the WSOP someday. (Hey, they had blind-man's bluff one year.)

The first variant is called Crazy Pinapple and the other one Pinapple, that's what I think at least.

    Games on offer were:

    Hold 'Em
    Omaha
    Omaha Hi-Lo
    Stud
    Stud 8
    Pineapple
    Irish

    All games played Pot Limit.

Even though I don't know how to play half the games I was tempted to sit down when I saw some old Chinese guy try to use 3 of the cards in his hand to make a striahgt in Omaha and took a good minute to be convinced he hadn't won.

    Game must be a goldmine.
