    Default autobetting the flop?

i'm wondering if i raise in position preflop, should i ALWAYS bet the flop if checked to me? i'm thinking that it probably depends on the # of people in the pot. but betting all the time seems like a negative ev bluff. what do you experienced people think?

It depends a lot on the number of callers. Against a single opponent I bet most of the time but when I have two callers or more I check sometimes depending on what the board looks like. The thing is that you don't want to guarantee your opponent an opportunity to check-raise, and you don't want people floating all the time either.

depending on how manny ppl in the hand. if your HU, imo you should bet floop 95% if he cheks. maybe even 100%.

but if its 2+ handed. NO

also im assuming this is limit.

Is this limit? My post was about NL. In fixed limit I continuation bet 100% of the time heads up and very often three handed.

Use the search engine. Keyword: continuation

You'll get a ton of stuff where we talk about continuation betting.

at 50 and 100 6max i play a pretty lag style. if i EVER raise pf and its checked to me HU i will make a CB like 95% of the time, maybe more. the only reason i check is if i think a player has figured me out and there is a high prob. of a check raise (this is uncommon as the 50 and 100 nl players are usually to dumb to realise im playing agressive, but there are some smart players, and im always trying to be aware)

if there are other people in the hand, i will usually not make a CB, unless i have a reasonable ammount of outs. even with 2 people i still have a legitament chance of taking the pot, but i just give myself that extra cusion. at the right table i will even bet with 2 overcards. however alot of the time this just leads to me turning top pair and creating a big pot, and this is not the desired result.

if 3 people call me i basically lock down and bet flops that help me.
