I'm pretty unhappy with my play at the moment and it seems that just no matter how many times I tell myself to close these leaks in my game I'm still guilty of them time and time again. I've decided to post them on here to embarass myself into sorting them out as I'm gonna look back on this thread in a few months to see if I have. Feel free to post the areas of your game that you know you need to improve.
I play 0.25/0.5 NL 6 Max
1) I still call big/over bets in large pots when I know that I am beat. Everything about the hand tells me I'm beat, but I donk call like Lord Donkerton.![]()
2) I know that i should raise for information early in a hand, but I always call too much and before I know it I'm in a big pot with a marginal hand.
3) I open limp far far too often and wonder why i get no respect later in a hand when I make a bet.

ditto here
Wow, looks like I could have wrote that myself
I try to be a TAG player but have to admit that I can only take so many suckouts/bad beats
and then my thinking process starts up - well AA isn't working, why not try that J8o this time...and thus the downward spiral continues
I too am trying to tighten up pretty much the same leaks as you (as any typical poker player I guess) and focus on making the right decisions and not worry about the 1 outer suckout
from my donkey friend as much...tough to do, but I must try...
Best of luck to both of us to tightening up and beating the donkey...not being the donkey
