I dont know this one is tough. It's probably either a monster or nothing though. I could see him having ace ten, big ace of diamonds, or maybe a pocket pair that made him a full house, but if its not one of those, then its probably a bluff, becuse i really don't see him playing jj,qq,kk,or aa this way. I would probably fold here though, you don't have that strong of a hand, and your probably not going to catch him bluffing as many times as you call with the worst hand here.

hell, I probably would have folded on the flop.
I don't like the call on the flop, if you are going to play, raise it to $3 or 4.....
That is how I would do it.

It smells like a semi-bluff to me -- I don't think he's got the 10 and I don't think he's got a top-tier pocket pair. That said, you could still very well be beat here so I don't think you can make this call.
He's bet into you and you've flat called twice. If he was on a monster hand, I'd expect him to bet into you because you haven't shown enough strength for him to guarantee that you'd bet into him after the river. But for the same reason that he didn't bet at all, I don't think you can put him on an outright bare-naked steal either. I just feel there's too many ways to lose this hand right now so I'd lay it down and pick a better time to go for his cash.

I think i may have changed my mind about the hand because of what shade said. I mean you still can't be sure, because there are always some really wierd players online, but if he bet it through and you just called, i dont think he would risk checking a very strong hand on the river. A call actually may be in order, i don't see him playing just a 7 this way, and now i don't see him playing a very strong hand this way either. Smells like a bluff, but you never know, he may have checked a very strong hand on the river gambling and hoping you would bet it.
Another thing though, i would have definitly checked this river. I don't really like the $5 bet, if you get raised all in (which you did) you get put to a very tough descicion, and if you get called you are most likely beat. If you have the best hand, then he probably isn't going to call, and you gain no money by making this river bet.

Always glad when my rationale helps someone to reach the opposite conclusion that I did For what its worth, I'm still twisting this one around in the back of my mind too. Still think there's just too many possible ways to get bit on this to make the call.

Yea, tough call, but nice one. I think the bet on the flop and turn were ok, he was taking a stab at it, but yea i wouldn't think someone would check raise a really strong a hand on the river there. I think if he wanted to win that pot, he should have led out for a substantial bet on the river, that would have looked a little more credible. Lol its funny that he says "wow, ur rediculous" when he was the one that just got called out on a huge bluff.

Good read, good call then.
And I love how the person with KQ is accusing you of being ridiculous

This is an excellent example of how it is profitable to have a good read on your opponents. During the first post I was thinking that this was probably too big of a raise for someone who had the goods and knew what they were doing. People are capable of pretty much anything though as we know, and it's going to come down to what kind of player you're dealing with here. If he has bet like an idiot before, especially if he's attempted a bluff, then this could easily be another one. Gutsy call though in any case - it's tough going all-in with a pair of 6's on the river even if you think the guy is probably bluffing Good job.
