std 10 man speed on pp
blinds are 100/200
5 handed table
no reads on villian, we have been 4 tabling and arent really paying that much attention.
we have![]()
in the bb
folds to the villian in the sb, who limps in.
after posing we have 1600 left. villian has not done anything out of the ordinary to get our attention. the villian covers us.
our options are:
push in preflop. the sb would probably limp in with any 2 cards, meaning he would slowplay AA but try to see a flop with 23s. assuming hes the typical pp $22 sng player he would call a push with any pair, any ace, or KQs, maybe a bit worse.
so if we push he will fold more than 50% of the time. if called, most of the time, we are 2:1 to double up. if he folds, we win the blinds.
check.
he could be trapping with a big hand here, why not steal it on the flop? were still losing to the big pairs on the flop, and now we get a better idea of his hand. pf he could have any 2 cards, a check or a bet narrows down furthuer. he probably wouldnt check a big pair, so maybe he will fold more on the flop.
however, if were called we probably need help (unless we happen to flop the best hand)
or just check it down
what is your play?

With an M of 5, you don't want to see flops. It's down to 5 . . . now you have to aggressively steal every pot available.
You need to be the guy that the others are saying "every fucking pot he raises" and then folding to you. If you were first in, I'd say dump in at least 1/3 of your stack, but you're the shorty, so you need to make all in moves.
If villian has raised every SB but now has limped, this should set off alarm bells and I'd check to hope to hit a flop really hard. But if this is normal for villian, then it's all in.
In the BB at this stage, any 2 cards are a raising hand if the SB completes. And certainly 78s is a raising hand in any position at a 5 handed table. I'd push all in. If he's got a big pair, then that's just bad luck . . .Jason75: Ok, you check and the button bets 400. Now what?
Beavis68: You play poker.
Jason75: Darn, I was really hoping for canasta. Maybe Gin.

This is a coin flip situation, I don't understand him limping/calling all in with A5o, but you get some real donks in these things.
If you double through him you're in good position. If he folds, you pick up a nice little pot.Jason75: Ok, you check and the button bets 400. Now what?
Beavis68: You play poker.

weak players play that way, they dont like to raise, they like to call, looks pretty typical of SnGs to me.
