I dont usually reraise pf with QQ, having your raise reraised indicates this guy has AA, KK or maybe AK. After that huge reraise I would fold.

With an M of 40 at the beginning of a tournament, I play QQ for set/overcard value.

That means I call here, if I get undercards I push all in as fast as possible. If I hit a set and an A or K flops, I push all in as fast as possible. If I hit a set and no other overcards appear, I try to check raise all in. If I get a flop with an A or K, I'm very likely to check/fold.

While QQ looks like a "great hand", it's actually more vulnerable than you think when you're deep stacked like this. I know others play this for full value in this situation PF by raising/reraising, but I just think it's too aggressive.
Jason75: Ok, you check and the button bets 400. Now what?
    Beavis68: You play poker.
Jason75: Darn, I was really hoping for canasta. Maybe Gin.

if you push all in after being raised and reraised and the flop is all undercards, AA/KK are the only cards that are likely to call, at which point you get stacked. Why not just bet the pot and take it from there?

you are virtually gaurantieeing your self that you are only getting called by an over pair or a set, and you are leaving your self open to being bluffed by a lower pair.

Putting 1700 chips into a 240 pot is a terrible move, not matter how fast you do it.

Just calling can be a fine play.

Perhaps it's not clear what I mean by playing QQ for set/overcard value.

I don't raise QQ with a huge M early in a tourney. I flat call PF (never raise or reraise). If the flop comes undercards, I push.

And you will get called by every crap hand in the book, don't worry about it. Most of the time it will be by T6o with TP T or some god awful shit like that . . . And yes, every now and again you will be stacked by a better hand. That's just poker.

Quickly executed massive overbets work because they suck in the horrid players who can't but hit the call button with even middle pair.

If I have a large M late in a tourney, I play QQ for full value by raising/reraising PF, and playing more "standard" poker after the flop.

But early on, you want to target the maniacs, so you have to put out the bait. Massive overbets are like challenging the size of their penis . . .
