#1 was absolutely correct... you had a good hand and a good draw, no sense in waiting for a better spot than that.

#2... you're really committing yourself here, despite the fact that not a lot of raising hands lose to eights. You have position on him, I'd call and see what develops on the flop.

#3... no problem with that, once people are in the money they're fairly loose anyway. You might even get a call.

Hand 1 - it would be pretty hard to construct a hand that you are drawing dead too, Kxs or KT with the Ks would be bad - but not that likely.
Not sure what I think about the PF raise, AT is decent, but it could be tough to play on the flop. I like raising more if I think my opponent has a good chance of folding.

    2. I don't understand the purpose of your raise. Doesn't seem big enough to win it right there and again 88 is tough post-flop.

    3. Depends on opponents. I would definitely raise, but i think I would do it smaller, nothing really scary on the board. The only draw would be 76. I would probably raise it to 600. Gives him the odds to call, and if he has a piece of the board, he will have to call you on the river.

A year ago I thought I knew everything about this game, no I feel like I don't know a thing.

So my answers are "it depends" or "hmmm, I don't know" but it seemed to work for you this time, so good job.

1 push or fold. i like to fold
    2 is fine
3 eh, dont like pf so much hard hand to play. raising to 600 pot will be 1500ish on flop and you got 1300 left. maybe raise like 450/500 or push/fold.
hate the push on the turn. you are either way ahead or way behind. call the 200 and try and get more on the river.

going to read the responses now

#1 He hit a duece on the turn, but it was a glorious
#2 He folded preflop, I'll take it
    #3 He mucked.

bonch in the future if you could highlight stacks and players left or something would make it much easier to read and would probably get better responses

    eclinchy,
1 1300 at 50/100 is more than enough no need to ''pick a spot'' now
2 its enough to fold and if he pushes you know you are beat. i dont like calling here because 88 is hard to play with overcards on the bubble of a s/g
3 ?? you dont want to maybe get called you want as much as possible

Naw, if it's too much to find that information for yourself, dont worry about it.

I feel the only hand I played poorly was #3. I dont think I'm beat, I jsut didn't extract enough. AQ or AK re-raises preflop 3 handed.
