Well... looks good...
I would be surprize your single pair is still good after he led that river, but you had to call... He probably hold 88 or 98, but 15:1 is simply too big to fold...

Given the chance that your hand may be good, I may raise here, Well... for a couple reasons ( I just woke up, so batter me if I got this wrong).
Mer nevermind. Call. You want to try and get overcalls here to inflate your profit when you win to help offset the losses here.
But I'm still tempted to raise here. If villian has been anywhere near aggressive. and the other two.... mer... I dunno... I like raising but I don't know why.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

This is only one hand but the table looks like its playing loose-passive which can be a great frustration in Limit HE when trying to protect a hand. The CO bet and your re-raise only got one limper to fold to a 2x coldcall!
If table is playing loose-passive with 4+ limpers, holdoff making your re-raises until the turn where the bets double! You do give up some EV and more limpers are likely to tag along to the turn but the coldcall gains twice the fold equity. Of course you're hoping CO will also bet on the turn as he did on the flop and that's an additional risk!Last edited by Aces-o-8s; 06-20-2006 at 08:43 AM.

So was I. My nicotine starved body started convulsing when he bet the river.

Definately... you have to call... 15:1 is the kind of odds you cant fold to.

Results in white......................
he showed Kings up with the 8 on the river. The other clown had something like K3 offsuit. This was a very loose passive table that I never got to exploit.

You played this perfectly. There is no way I would wait until the turn to raise.
