    Default Protect against the draw

I have recently been taken out of loads of STTs with people calling to hit their draw. Below is a typical situation.

    I have

    Flop comes

I go all in to protect but they still call with Ace rag or TJ or some shit. I don't know if it is just because people have been catching a lot lately or becuase I've been playing badly but I've started to think that I might be better of making a small bet so I can get away from the hand when it inveriably brings out that perfect card for them.

I have also had it twice this week where this exact situation has come up and they have already got the straight, in those cases I have raised either in early or late position to find a check raise or simply a re-raise behind me.

Am I doing anything wrong or is it just bad luck lately?

I'll see if I can find any hand histories once I get home later.

Maybe lead out with 3/4 pot sized bet, that wont give them the proper pot odds to call. If you get reraised, let it go as they probably already have the straight, or are protecting a set/two pair.

Yeah, don't go all in to protect your TP. A straight, 2 pair, set or running flush all can beat you and you have nothing left if
    one of those scenarios hits.

Just make your 3/4-pot size pots and if they keep chasing their non +EV draws and overall, kill them
