If the table has become extremely tight PF, then I don't mind it here.

But if you've been raising a lot of pots, I'd just raise it to 2.5 bb here (which is my standard raise outside the blinds).

Then if one of the blinds calls and catches a piece, those 1/2 pot bets are much larger . . .

BTW . . . your river bet is terrible. Those big all in bets on the river are only going to get called by a better hand most of the time (can beat 1 pair). Those big all in bets are best on the flop, but not in this situation.

On the river, make a bet that the guy can either call, or bluff by coming over the top if he's got a broken draw.

Jason75: Ok, you check and the button bets 400. Now what?
    Beavis68: You play poker.
Jason75: Darn, I was really hoping for canasta. Maybe Gin.

PF - until I'm 3 handed or HU, I hate the idea of limping AA/KK/QQ - just asking for garbage to come bust them. Normal raise here will fold the garbage and/or look like a blind steal that a mediocre hand will often challenge. Never be disappointed in winning just the blinds with K-K - still better than getting busted by 7-2 with a 9-2-2 flop.

Flop - with a str8 on the flop I like the 80% bet but didn't like it when it got called! Looks like he has a piece of that and liked it enough to call against the expressed odds!

Turn - Once the BB called the flop I'm taking this puppy down FAST - Pot size bet! No way I want to see the river with just a single pair and that str8 looking for up to 8 outs!

River - good card for you unless he called along with T-5 or simular. What the hell is with the all-in?? The only hand that calls that bet has you BEAT! You only have one pair for crying out loud! Here you bet want to bet only up to 1/2 the pot so that he can call with with a smaller pair. I doubt he would ck-r a bluff but why not give him a chance? If he does ck-r all-in, that could bust you out of the tourney and you have a tuf decision in making a call!

I don't like the limp. It happens that I limp monsters ITM when the blinds are huge. This could change if BB is raising every time you limp on the button.

I hate inviting people to suck out for free 5-handed or on the bubble.

    Lol. Gder it's from Swingers.

I know the river bet is whack, honestly, I don't know what I was thinking. I had a small hope that he thought it was an attempt to steal the decent-sized pot and would call with like an A5 or something.

Jason, I did only limp because the table was very tight. Usually folded around to the BB, or whoever was first to bet would get the blinds.

    Thanks guys.

I don't mind a limp with KK, poker is a gambling game so why not take a gamble on getting a decent flop, then if it comes up jack or queen high or something like that and someone's holding AJ or AQ you can stack 'em as they'll never put you on KK. Risky tho!
Bad Beat of the week 27/08/2006:

    :kh :jd

    Flop - :jc :3s :6d I raise 2/3 pot, Villian calls.

Turn :kd - I raise to put villian all in, he calls

he flips over :4d :4s

River :4c

Limping with KK is not my style...but then I am known for raising about 98% of the time when I am first in. If I raise first in on the button, my opponent has no idea if I am stealing or holding KK. But I don't think the limp is a terrible move here.

I completely agree with the flop being something I don't like. The BB got to see it for free and now it shows a straight possibility. I don't want my opponent drawing to this board. I bet atleast a full pot-sized bet on flop and turn.

Well, you've already heard the feedback about that river push. 'Nuff said!

I don't play a lot of hands....I just play a lot of them poorly.
