Default $50 NL 6 Max 2 pair

I would appreciate comments on the following hand I played last night. It was my first hand on the button and I had no reads on individual players. The table had a 60% to flop and $12 average pot.

NL 6Max 0.25 / 0.50

Me $20
Villain $35

I'm dealt on the button and it's folded round to me. I decided to let them know I was there and raised it $2.

SB folds
BB Calls

Pot ($5.25)

Flop :

The BB Checks to me and I bet $3.50 - the BB Min raises up to $7

Pot ($15.75) I've got $14 left.

Hero ??????

Push all in.

He could have any ace. He could think you are attempting a steal and therefore has decided to check-raise as he thinks you have nothing, or he could have trips or something which you pay off.

I think you win here more than you lose, and given your stack size of 40bbs folding 2 pair on that flop is not even an option.

This was on Ladbrokes - he cleared off soon after. I had another one against someone else later where I raised the same with AQo and got called by 24s and he flopped an Open ended straight & flush draw!!!

It's all good in the long run though.
