Limit, Heads-Up
Stumbled into a limit heads-up game by accident.
Is there any reason to fold preflop a lot when playing limit, as opposed to NL?
Just wondering cause my opponent was going on tilt the way I played, ie raising preflop a lot with garbage hands. In the end I won, but possibly I had above average hands/luck in that game.

Depends on your read. Since Limit is a Yes/no type of game, no grey areas in terms of betting, you can pick up patterns easier than NL (I think PL is the easiest to pick patterns HU though).
If the guy never raises PF, then raises, unless you got something that may be worth playing, you should probably fold. But generally, no, In any HU match, your biggest decisions come on the flop when 5/7 of your hand has been established.

yeah you should fold. mathematically you have hands that are crappy. add in the factor that you will miss the flop 70%.
add in the factor that if you play every hand PF an opponent will adjust, knowing that you play every hand.
add in some more facts here:________________
add in the fact that from the BB you are OOP
fold from the SB w/ garbage like J2o Q2o etc..
dont call riases fomr the BB with those hands eather. b/c your drawing to top pair only (which you will only hit about 25% of the time after 5 streets). add in tha fact that he has established control of the pot by his PF raise, and will likely CB flop.
playing 100% hands is bad imo

Gder, I think you should be seeing the flop HU about 80% of the time, maybe more. There is no such thing as a non-raising hand PF HU. I've said this a billion times, in HU play, your hand matters far less than what your opponent doesn't have in his hand.

Is position really that important?
On Stars, I only have about 1000 hands HU, but PT says +56000 chips in the BB and -38000 in the SB.
