10 10 limit hand
I found the loosest craziest table I have ever seen on a Prima site this morning. No one in this hand was a good player. MP2 Was a total maniac who was raising total trash. BB was a total fish.
Comments?
Prima Poker skin
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $0.25/$0.5
9 players
Converter
Pre-flop: ( 9 players) Antneye is Button with
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 raises, 2 folds, Antneye 3-bets, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls.
I am not afraid of the raise from MP2...he can have any 2 cards. Hopefully I can get this heads up or maybe 3 way. Didn't work out that way.
Flop: ( 15.48SB, 5 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, MP2 checks, Antneye bets, BB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP2 folds.
Too many in the pot, but they all checked to me and I may still be best. I thinned the herd a little.
Turn: ( 9.24BB, 3 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Antneye bets, BB calls, UTG+1 folds.
Harmless card. If someone picked up a flush draw he going to have to pay to see it. Got it to heads up.
River: ( 11.24BB, 2 players)
BB checks, Antneye bets, BB calls.
Should I have checked behind here? This person is so passive they could easily be calling me down with top pr. They also could have any other piece of this board or even A high.

If they'll call with Ace high or bottom pair, you bet. Thats what a value bet is. You don't always win but you win more than you lose

I tend to run into the same problem at times...
You've eliminated everyone by the time the river card comes around except the BB who never showed any aggression to begin with. Here I'm wondering why he's still in, and passive players rarely do anything to let you know you're beat. I wouldn't think he has a 3...even passive players know 3 of a kind is a good hand, my guess is he has Qx.
Here's I tend to lean towards "he's calling if I'm beat" scenario and you really can't beat any part of that flop if he has a piece of it. You have the benefit of acting last and don't really need to commit more money here. I'd probably check here.
Whether that's the best option here I'm not exactly sure but that's just my play here.

Unless you've seen this player make stuipd calls on the river before, this strikes me as one of those situations where you're only going to get a call if your beat. I think I check this.

Well this is a tricky type of hand that comes up alot.
You seem to be aggressive, the fish are timid and passive so they aren't usually gonna fold if they have anything but they aren't gonna raise and give you any info unless they have a really strong hand. They usually aren't going to pick up that you are representing alot of strength either.
Flop bet is good.
Turn bet is good.
I think there is alot of value in betting this river again, he hasn't made a peep and could easily be calling you down with a smaller pocket pair or AK, AJ, Ax type of hands.

I agree with you in the case of a smaller pocket pair, but in my experience thse calling down with Ax will fold on the river if they don't hit their A. I think the chances that he's calling down with a Q but is afraid to call because of the paird board is much more likely than an underpair. Unless this player is in the habit of calling on the river with garbage, I think a bet here is EV- in the long run.

No, he said "could easily be calling me down with" I read that to mean up until that point. My expereince is that people who call down with ace high will do so until the river and then fold if they don't hit it. As I said, if you'd seen him call the river with stuff like ace high in the past, then the bet might be worth while.

My thoughts we that he could have QX. But A6 is just as possible. These people were so loose tha calling 2 bets from the BB with AX where X =anything is possble.
I dont want to give results yet, but I really struggled with this decision.

It's totally player dependent, if he'll call you bet if he won't you check
