You lost me here - "if he'll call you bet" implies you're positive you're ahead. If you're sure you're ahead, why would you EVER check?

I just think that with the typicall player at this level, if he calls you lose way more often than you win.

Jesus dude, read my original post, I'm paraphrasing.

If he'll call with lesser hands you bet if he won't you check.

Guys, value betting is a pretty simple concept: if you will win more money than you lose in the long run you bet

the level has absolutely nothing to do with it:mad:

He stated, the guy is an absolute fish who could have anything here. Who gives a shit what stakes you are playing

Sorry if I'm heated, but this thread is so basic and you are asking PP100 -am I betting or raising, what do I have to call- questions

Sorry Steve. I still feel I miss value bets from time to time. This was a case where I went for the value bet and ran into QK

Just because he could have anything doesn't mean he'll CALL with anything. In my experience, if you bet on a board like this with and get called you will lose at least 75% of the time.

Even the fish I've played will almost always fall into one of two categories here - either they have top pair (or even two pair) but are afraid of trips (they'll call and you'll lose) or they have at least one overcard they were hoping to hit (they'll fold to a bet so it gains you nothing).

Gir, My statements are for someone who will CALL!!!!!!!! What do you think I don't know what a value bet is???? Obviously it is pertaining to someone who will CALL. Jesus, this is worse than your PSO questions.

Against a normal range of opponents, against a guy who will CALL with Ace high (can you see the word call???) yu will win much more than that

WTF?? I said in my first post that unless you have seen this guy make stupid calls on the river (which Ant never said he had), then a bet makes no sense. Obviously you'll make a bet here if he's going to call you 100% of the time, but what in any of this hand gives you that impression??
