Default Live Poker vs Online Poker

Just wondering what you are your thought about Live Poker vs Online Poker.

My personal opionion is a like Live Poker a lot more... Being able to look my opponent in the face, being able to really play that bluff is a lot better, and feels like poker to me.

Sitting infront of a computer, clicking the mouse doesnt seem to bring the same excitement to me as live poker, yes its handy to play whenever you want, but i actually enjoying dressing up and going to the casino to play live poker.

And i know this sounds a bit far fetched, but I dont seem to get the crazy hardcore bad beats i do online when i am a 90%+ favourite.

Are you talking about at home games or at a Casino?

Casino games are really, really, really loose and generally passive at the low limits. You can beat them for alot more bets/hand than online, however you see alot less hands and can lead to being somewhat bored while playing solid poker.

I get just as many bad beats live as online, however live I guess they aren't really beats since everyone has the odds to call you with almost anything.

    Wow. How romantic.

Poker's about money, not how the chips feel and how the felt smells and all that other shit. If money and cards are involved, I'm down.

live games are typically incredibly easy.

    i like to read opponents.

i play better live, b/c everything is slowed down compared to multi tabling online.

You can always buy a poker table, set up the computer on that, and put a stack of chips in front of you to shuffle while playing.

I don't know...# of hands maybe. Figure you can play at least 2-3x (absolute min, not multi-tabling) more hands online per hous than live, it would stand to reason more whacky shit will happen online.

xcrunman02: yeah only I can do that, i don't need some gook trying to get with my life partner

    For NL Tourneys:

Of course it's easier to read people you can see.

But - the implied odds are so much better online. How many maniacs get in their car, drive to the local cardroom at the correct tournament time, register and sit down to play? Not enough . . . .

Online, it's like the pied piper is calling them to their computer . . .
Jason75: Ok, you check and the button bets 400. Now what?
    Beavis68: You play poker.
Jason75: Darn, I was really hoping for canasta. Maybe Gin.
