Mabye I should have limped? Being aggresive has worked for me in cash games so I'm trying to learn when/where agression is required in tournies. My for raising were
- I'm in postion (I like playing big pots in position)
- noone has yet shown strength (limp utg is of note, but not scary yet)
- I have a decent hand
- I'll be pf aggresor
Flop: (t390),
,
(3 players)
SB bets t120, UTG folds, Hero raises to t1830, SB calls t770 (All-In).
Rasons for push-
- I put SB on a pair <10 which makes me a slight favorite
- I get fold equity
- Gotta get chips early
Yes/no?

Call preflop...
Honestly your hand is pretty good, but its not the hand you want to see a big pot with in your situation. you said it yourself, its early, and you have plenty of chips to play poker.
By raising that the kind of hand PF, you will most of the time, win small pots or loose medi-big size with.
Keep your chips and a magin to ork with.

Sounds like a pretty loose play on your part. I would have called and folded to a big bet on the turn if I didn't catch the spade.

preflop is good.
flop is good too. however, the only bad thing about the flop is; your comitting your whole stack here.
Id prolly raise to t360. then if he calls and cheks turn, i say "shit, i should gone all in on flop"I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.

I guess I didnt mind committing my whole stack, I'll have something left over if I lose, but have a decent stack if I win. Is it too early to gamble?

How do you play it then? The only other line I like is re-raise him mabye 400t. I'd definatly be getting odds to call a push. If he pushes the turn I would be getting about 1:3 which would be a tough laydown (and leave me at 1400 if I fold). I might get a free card, but if the turns a blank he's prolly pushing...
