Default KK- 3 hearts- Should I bet this river?

I just sat down and there were only 5 people. I was going to play tight until the table filled. I asked Alex what to do here and I disagreed and did what I wanted. SHould I bet on the river

I thought you werent playing 6 max.

you can either check and call one bet, or bet and fold to a raise. If you dont like folding to a raise, check and see what happens behind you.

This wasn't 6max. But the waiting lists were all so long, I sat at a table with 5, waiting for it to fill up. I was only going to play Group 1 hands until it got to 8, but I got Kings after about 5 minutes. It was the first hand I played. It filled up pretty fast.

With a handfull of players still in and2 hearts on the flop I'd think someone is drawing to the flush I'm probably checking this river.

Yes, bad reasoning, wrong game.

How fishy were these guys? If they were fishy enough, and like to draw to over cards, then a Bet is probably +EV. But if they were decently intelligent players, then I think a check, and maybe a call if the LP player is tricky, but usually a fold is the way to go.

I think you need to check here. I would probably call a single bet back to me but you are dead here >80%, with this many people calling to the river somebody is on the flush draw.
Betting and folding to a raise is another good option, as Beav noted, I don't like that as much since the Q fell and there is some small chance that somebody drawing two two overcards like say AQ will raise you. I don't think that chance is high at a .25-50 table, but costs you a huge pot if it happens, and I don't think that there are many hands you beat that will call, so there is not much value in the bet anyway.
