    Default A10o

Maybe it doesn't worth to start a new thread for this, but we are kind of silent lately..
While i have concluded in which hands i will play, i can't decide if i should play A10o when i am out of position. The problem is that if flop is -lets say- A 8 3 i don't know if i should raise, or call a reasonable raise, 10 doesnt seems like a safe kicker. Opinions?

    a-10 off isn't much different than A-J...

its a decent kicker, its in straight distance... blah blah blah. 10 is a decent kicker, and of course you should play it unless there was a great amount of raising PF to indicate A-K or A-Q. i mean ppl usually give away when they have aces so u should be ok

just pay attention to how the others raise

    Default well..

Personally, A10o is questionable even in late position. Maybe it's experience from getting played on 4th-5th street and the hand costing me more $$ then profit. You're hoping for an A & kicker flop or 1010 or broadway. Good players limp/lightly raise with mediocre hands like Aj.

it depends on your opponents, if u know that ur opponents are loose and anywhere from decent-bad players you should raise with A10o because they usually call with bad ace hands and they think A8 or A7 is enough to beat u
on the contrary, if ur opponents are known to be solid/tight poker players you should usually wait for AJs-AK because it really sucks to get beat by kicker thinking you have the best hand
