    Default Totally Lost

I'm getting to the point where I don't know what to do. I'm really considering cashing out what I've made so far and forgetting I ever tried to play this game.

I played 336 hands of .5/1 limit today and lost another $21. It feels like I'm just not getting the cards, but this has been going on too long for that to be the case.

Today my VP$IP was just 15.5%, with a PF raise of 8% and my won won $ when saw flop was 21%. Of the $21 I lost, $15 of it was on hands where I put not money into the pot other than the blinds (and that's after winning a $6.25 pot with KJ in the BB when I flopped a straight).

I'm looking over my hands to see if on my big losers I'm doing something so obviously wrong even I can pick up on it but am having no luck. Some of my big losers on hands I actually chose to play:

QQ when he rivered a one card straight with AT
KJs when I flopped a K and he hit two pair on the turn with 54
AA when AKo hit a runner-runner one card flush
AK when turned an A and A7 rivered a 7

What else shold I look for to try to find holes? Or maybe I should just pack it in while I'm up.
I'm CDO. It's like OCD, but everying is in order just like it should be.

Not if I go broke first, or it's me and not variance.

Post some more hands Gir, you rarely post them so we can't really see if you are making mistakes.

    Gir,

Heres a challenge. Post your 2 biggest losing hands each session, and your 2 biggest winning hands regardless of wether you think you did anything right or wrong. I find that what appears to be very routine is actually very interesting when I post them....se my recent AJ limit hand....who knew it would spark such interesting analysis and comments.

You may find a hidden leak, or receive the confirmation that you sorely need about your play.

Gotta post to this one ..

In poker you gotta roll with the punches...

The worst time to hit a bad spell is just after you hit a good one, which statistically will happen.

If you play for ages and break even it is not half as bad as playing for a term winning then playing for a term losing.

You gotta keep your head and play your game ...

My bank roll is building steadily (nothing to retire on) but building.

In this time it has looked like for a month i lose everything yet two months later I am above my initial bankroll.

I only play low limit, using my winnings to step up therefore these swings do not mean much to me.

Look at your bank roll and what it means to you .. perhaps you are playing beyond your means which is making you play bad.

Cashing some out may not be a bad idea. I recenlty cashed out 3/4 of my bankroll. Upsides are that now you get to enjoy the hard-earned cash and see some of the fruits of your labor, also it'll force you back to some lower limits which are a good place to build some confidence back. Only downside is you may get sloppy if lowered stakes dont interest you. But seriosly, cash some out and go enjoy the summer!
