Ok maybe that was wrong, but you can't base every one of your descicions just on pot odds.

It was wrong and stupid. It really made no sense at all.... You were completely contradicting what pot odds are to be used for.

there is no cutoff between a coin flip and underdog.

A coin flip is 50/50, if I am a 51/49 favorite I am A FAVORITE even if it is slim.

If you are not willing to put your money in when you are a favorite, when do you put it in? You can't always wait until you're a 4 to 1 favorite.

http://pokerforums.org/showthread.php?t=896 Since you guys are new, I'll kindly point you to the rules. I don't know if you are playing around or not, but I don't appreciate that.

True, but some close situations are best to be avoided.

If Bill Gates wants to flip coins with you for $25k a pop and decides to pay you 10:9 my money says you would decline.
Although in this case, that doesn't matter. This is a call if you know he cant have AA KK or QQ

stevo who says you have to put all your money in preflop... as phil helmuth says "you cant lose if you dont go all in". I would rather use my ability to play on flop, turn , and river rather then getting all in preflop in such a marginal situation. Also, I am strictly talking about touranments here, in a cash game i would play totally different, and pot odds would be the major factor in most of my desciions. In a touranment, you get all in here and get busted out, and thats it, its over, in a cash game you get all in here and lose, you buy back in, make that play again every single time, and in the long run you will win.

Oh, I forgot hellmuth is the best player ever, even read his booK! it says so right there.

So you're down to the final 4, or a 4 person tourney and winner takes all?
