Considering you give no reads and this is a $10 nl game... he has two cards. Honestly, either call his raise and look to pair on the flop or pick up the nut flush draw OR just push and laugh when he calls with AJo.

Hand History Reminder
Any insight on the SB? Had you seen him bet like that before? Had you seen him bet at all? Has he shown a hand at your table? Does he strike you as a good or bad player? Reads are important."There is a good chance I gave you a very bad description of something that doesn't work."

I'm not a cash game player, so maybe this will sound stupid:
What's the strategy behind folding to the reraise? AK is only dominated by 2 hands . . . AA and KK.
Why not just call and see a flop at this point?Jason75: Ok, you check and the button bets 400. Now what?
Beavis68: You play poker.
Jason75: Darn, I was really hoping for canasta. Maybe Gin.

I hate flat calling a reraise with AK in a cash game.
If your opponent has AQ/AJ and one of the 2 remaining Aces flops, you will take all his money (how likely is this to happen).
If he also has AK, you are looking at a split pot but more likely since you've been reraised and he could easily have a pocket pair, you will end up being bet out of pot.
If he has JJ/QQ and you hit a pair (1 in 3 times). It is quite likely he will fold to a bet, anyway.
If he has KK/AA and you hit your K you are losing a lot of chips.
Just think the odds are not looking good.

you are in a steal position and get reraised by the blind.
you should have your pants pulled down and be publicly spanked for this.
First, RAISE MORE!
Raise to 50c at least. You want to take the pot, but if people want to play let them.
You out-thought yourself on this hand. If you are so afraid of getting stacked buy-in short. His hand range is huge and you have equity to push or call, but I would raise, either to $5 or all in, if I got to $5 I am not folding post flop unless it is all hearts or some shit.

who knows what he had, all i know is you are miles ahead of his range of hands. at least call and see a flop, if you flop top pair this would be a nice spot to check raise when he tests the waters after you play the hand super weak.
and as other say, raise more preflop.
