Default Live game - i need help playing these queens

ok, so im at a live game and im delt

im UTG and i raise the pot (it's pot limit)

the table folds round to 1 guy and he flat calls,

    flop comes

i raise the pot and he flat calls me

    turn comes

im under the gun and i really don't know what to do here, the board is soo scary and if i bet anything less than the pot i know ill get reraised cus im showing so much weakness. If i do raise the pot then my stack will be about £4 left after previously having about £40.

i check this, and he immediately checks after me.. i think fuck! if i just had the balls to bet this out id probably get a fold

river comes (im praying for a blank) it comes

the board has straight and flush possibilities and the guy made it pretty clear he was on a chase for something, i check and he bets the pot which is me all in - what should i do?

Call. The river isn't dangerous at all, almost certainly didn't help him

How bigs the pot, whats your stack size?

I dont think hed call a pot sized bet with a flush/straight draw(at least Id hope not, so I think 77 88 99 are what youre worried about.

Id call and hope hes bluffing . Then when I find out hes not, hit the bar very hard.
I wanna live till I die. No more. No less.

yeh, i figured he had missed his draw or something and when i checked, he just bet out to take down the pot - i ended up folding this hand but i never saw his... if the river was more blank than that i would have definately called

a little review of the preflop order of action wouldve helped you to make this call... he cold called a pot raise... 7-8-9 isnt helping either of you... i would suspect he would have one heart with two high cards.. as gryff said... betting the pot once again on the turn wouldve been a good option.. you gave up the lead on 4th street and again on the river... which almost begs for a bluff/steal oppertunity from your opponent... just remember.. logic and deductive reasoning will help you determine what hands he could possibly have

thanks, i think i play worse live tho. I have to take a 30 min train to London and a 10 min walk to the club to get there and i only ever play with 1 buy in and i don't rebuy at all to stop myself over spending. This makes me soo much more tight and so much more unwilling to shove all my chips in there. I think i would have made this call any day on the internet but i didnt want to go out after being there for 30 mins and then having to trek home.

I did however end up losing all my money on a straddle where i flat called with 87 and flop came 457 i pushed and got reraised and called .. straddler turned over 45 - still had about 35% to win but missed my outs

He is raising UTG so a pot sized bet is not that much, BB SB all that is in the pot so the other guy can be limping with any hand including suited connectors or anything else along those lines. There is a good chance he did make some thing from this flop and he showed a williness to call so unless i had a good read on him the fold isn't a horrible play. The check on the turn could simply mean he is trying to get action since he has position
If there wern't luck involed i guess id win everyone
