I think you bet both those hands. I'm going to copy my post because I'm lazy.

Hand 1: (the KQ hand) You really think someone was along for a gutshot? Value bet. Call a raise, somebody might get frisky with K10. How is the 10 a scare card?

Hand 2: (the 77 set hand) Just because the flush draw came in is no reason to fear it. Bet and call. There are other hands he would call down with - bottom set, etc. This one is a less straightforward, but I still bet it.

You can't fear the monsters in the closet in Limit. The game is all about repeated edges over and over. Value betting is key to the game.

Just to point out, your original question asked about marginal hands. Neither of these hands are marginal.

I'm out for the weekend, hope this thread continues - good topic.

Sorry, I chopped the threads to keep it focused on each hand.

Yes, no reason not to bet this... I don't see MP2 playing a draw that way... If you get raised, call, its still +EV.
Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

I bet it and call a re-raise any day. He could just as easily have AQ, KQ, 10J, or some other SD and no hearts. On the river your both +/- 10-1 pot odds, more if you bet/raise. So are you really going to lay down that set of 7's for $.50?

Glad I made the transition back to limit from NL because it seems I am much better about these kind of decisions. If this is NL200 and someone pushes for $200 after I lead out on the river in this hand, I'm not so sure I'm going to call...
