So NL, hmmmm....

4-handed A9s is a hand I'd call a raise with, no sweat. Without any reads, he could have a bigger ace or a pocket pair. I dont see many situations where you ahead here, but your definatly getting odds to try and hit your flush. I'd just call and see what the turn brings.

ahhhh didnt know it was 4 handed sorry ignore the paragraph that was here!
well, once you reach the flop i hate your bet. you have a maniac at the table, try to see the turn card, if a diamond comes he might pay you off biig.
once he re raises you, you easaily have enough odds to draw for a diamond. hell your ace or 9 might be good, but dont count those as full outs.
every decision is a new problem! even if it seems you are in over your head at one point in the hand, dont automatically fold, analyze the hand. your pf expecation was probably negative, but here on the flop with his tiny minraise, this is now positive. pf is in the past, you made a mistake. the pot is laying you odds to get lucky and take back the mistake though so call.Last edited by tightagressive; 05-15-2006 at 05:06 PM.

4-handed your folding A-9 to a 4x BB raise? I call this in a 6max game... I'd prolly count the 3 9's as full outs but the ace 1-1.5

i only play 10 player nl games. So i might not be the best to comment on this part. I think gder might be better as he plays the shorthanded nl games.
Anyways, these are my thoughts. PF u should have raised.
If u get called, and flop is like that. I bet ps on the flop. If raised, I probably push.
Anyways, from the way u played it.
flop is a push for me. You have 2 overs + FD. And its 4 handed game, so he could easily have KQ KJ QJ etc.. in which ur Ace is already ahead. If he has TP, ur still a slight favourite. If he has a overpair, ur slightly behind - unless he has 88, then ur slightly ahead.Last edited by Eclipse86; 05-15-2006 at 04:54 PM.

I definitely reraise that gay raise all in on the flop. Good chance he will fold a better hand and if not your getting enough odds to chase anything except trips/possibly AA.
However if 100% of your NL Bankroll is at stake I may fold

limp utg w/ A9 suited is alright. Might wanna raise this depending on the table. if he's raising 50% of preflops, your ahead, but you should only call, b/c your out of position on flop. so the limp call is okey.
however if hes ultra agressive preflop, and fires pot on every street I'd prolly fold this. (also sitting to the right of an agressiveass player sucks, move seats)
flop; this is a great flop. unless he has A3, A7, A5 your in good shape. Ill prolly check raise this b/c this flop looks safe (enticing him to bluff). also leading out is good, b/c afterall you only have a draw. you lead out and he minimum raises. I dont even hesitate to push all in after he raises me b/c;
a. his image says he might not be as strong as he looks
b. the pot is offering decent odds
c. if he is bluffing, we have him owned
d. he might fold if we go all in
calling is out of the question imo. fold if you wanna quite while ahead, go allin/raise if you wanna win a 40$ pot with the possibility of losing it.I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.
