Default Fighting Tilt

I had a bit of a bad day today, some early bad beats to start my poker session kind of set the trend. I could almost feel the slump coming on.

I know every one here can relate to this, you feel like your making good decisions but are being punished for it.

I just want to know what you guys do during ugly bad streaks, ie) move down limit, take a break... go out and buy a rabbit's foot... etc.

Been saying this for years, and Alex and Steve always back me up on this, Go get "zen and the Art of poker". Just ignore his math...... After reading it once and perusing it every 6 months or so... I don't have tilt anymore (ok dropping 500 bets on hollywood had me a littel frustrated). It also helps in other things in life too.

What put me on tilt is not necessary when I lose against bad beat, Its when I do bad plays. That make me yell to myself"What the &*$!! you &&!!?? bastard of &&**&!! cocksucker !"
Of course when someone insult me, whoever it is, I turn mad

More seriously, when you are on tilt you should call someone and ask him to come home. Otherwise you will simply continue to play with that bad state of mind and you will lose even more money and that will tilt you more and ect ect.

If someone come home you are sure that you will stop to play. its pretty impolite to invite someone and continue to play poker !

If I am getting frustrated because I am just playing like a donkey I call it a day and stop playing ( did that yesterday, bluffed all in against a CS and I knew he was a CS before I did it ). If I am just getting rivered and out drawn, I will move to a different table. If I am on a losing streak of longer than a day I will drop down a level to protect my BR. Usually my losing streaks are because I am playing badly and I need to stop and analyze my play to find my leaks.

I seem to suffer from this. Playing on lower limits, i often get the most horrendous bad beats and bad crazy plays, and it drives me mad. I can't understand why people call raises and re-rasies looking to catch a runner runner flush/straight. AAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHH!

I now try and force myself to stop playing but it's difficult sometimes. I think the state of mind that you're in is one of the most importnat factors whilst playing poker.
