Notice my stack - that is right, it is 48bb. But, Beavis buys-in short? How can that be?

The first hand I post and was dealt and the flop was and I doubled through Cosqe who held

    ** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to beavis69 [ ] One player folds to me, my position isn't great, but I will limp for set value now that I have some implied odds.
    beavis69 calls [$0.25].
Cosqe raises [$1]. one fold and LordDrow calls [$1] it folds back to me, and I call hoping to flop a set.

    ** Dealing Flop ** [ , , ] Pot is $3.20

I think of taking a poke at it, but it is draw heavy, and Cosqe is probably not happy with me. I really don't want to waste my chips. I check and do does everyone else

    ** Dealing Turn ** [ ]

Ok, that is a good card, but it also suck as the board now contains , but I would think that JT is probably unlikely and a suited ace probably would have bet the flop. How do you play it?

bet more then what pots odds would offer to a flush or a straight. i'd say about 2/3 of the pot, cuase you need to know where your at in the hand if you might be able to take the pot down there.

The check on the flop is strange. Very strange. A pf raiser will usually bet flop 90 % of the time.

It mean he dont seem to be afraid of the flush draw. He s not drawing to a straight otherwise he could easily be drawing dead.

My first advice would be to bet something like 2/3 of the pot but I wonder how he would react to a check. If he has a ace high flush and you check he could be tempted to slow play it, giving you the possibility to catch one of your 10 outs to make a boat (he dont know what you got) The real problem come if he dont have the flush or if he dont have the nut flush. You could be bluffed out the pot.

    Checking can be good
Betting can be good but he may raise you and you will be in a touchy situation.

The problem with a large bet is that if one guy calls, the other guy has the odds to call also. One of them could very well have made the str8 or flush already.

Pot is 3.20. I probably bet $1. Maybe it gets perceived as a "please call me bet" and represents a made hand and discourages a reraise.
If you get called, just hope for your boat or at least a blank on the river. you can decide on the river if your set is enough. At least you haven't committed too much. If you get reraised, call if you are getting good enough implied odds to chase the full house.

I bet $1.50ish. I was thinking $1-$2, so thats what I'm betting. If we get callers, and the board doesn't change much, I think it may be safe to throw out a similar probe bet on the river, and it will be safe to release on the turn if we get raised.
Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

bet pot. b/c the board is bad, but 888 is ahead most of the time here.
